Development Considers planning applications and enforcement issues, responsible for Town Plans and considers all strategic issues likely to impact the Town. Meets fortnightly on Wednesdays. Resources Responsible for the day to day financial matters, personnel and street lighting and the strategic issues of Council's properties. Administers the War Memorial Institute Charity. Meets on the third Thursday of each month. Amenities Responsible for the maintenance of all the amenities of the Town on a day to day basis, e.g. bins (dog & litter), seats, landscaping, playground, burial ground, car park, allotments. Links with District & County Council on maintaining their services e.g. street cleaning, fly tipping, roads, pavements, footpaths and open spaces. Meets on the second Tuesday of each month. Events To co-opt to membership organisers of particular events for the duration of the preparation and running of such events. Such events to be community run and essentially for the benefit of the community.Also to set up, oversee the administration of the monthly Farmers Market on the first Sunday of each month. Monitor the conduct of market traders to ensure the scheme continues to operate within FARMA parameters, thereby offering an outlet for producers within a 30 mile radus of Winslow and supporting the local rural economy. Develop the event as neccessary within budget, to ensure continued expansion of tourism to Winslow and to support the viability of local traders. Membership includes 2 co-opted members from the Chamber of Trade. Meets on the Monday following each market.
