Consultation about proposed Sports Hub

Buckinghamshire Council has launched a consultation about its proposals to build a 10 hectare Sports Hub on land alongside Buckingham Road and Great Horwood Road, opposite Sir Thomas Fremantle School. The consultation has been extended until 31 January 2022.

The facilities proposed include:

  • 3G football pitch
  • Grass rugby pitch
  • Three tennis courts
  • Modern and inviting amenity building with community and social space
  • 8.3 hectares of green open recreational space
  • 2.4 km of pathways
  • 1.8km of hard surfaced paths
  • Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) used for sports like netball.
  • Skatepark

Land around the pitches will be open for local people, with attractive wildlife areas to preserve and enhance the natural habitats on the site.
