Relocating the Playground : Public meeting responses

[updated 3 December] A public meeting took place on Sunday 28 November to discuss the Council's plans which, at some future date, would involve the creation of a new children's playground on a site within Tomkins Park, to replace the one alongside Elmfields Gate. This is an integral part of plans to replace the existing Sports Club building with a new larger Community and Sports Pavilion, with associated parking.

A report provides comprehensive background to the whole project and explains why the Council has proposed this siting for a new playground. A powerpoint presentation was give at the meeting. The report and the powerpoint presentation can be downloaded from the Council's web site. See links below.

A report setting listing the issues and questions raised at the public meeting, and in subsequent written representations received up to 2 December, has been compiled for consideration by the Town Council at its meeting on 8 December. See link below.
