EWR Progress report for May published

The latest Progress Report for the East West Rail project has been published, providing an update to May 2022. This can be found at EWR2 Project Newsletter - Spring 2022. This offers information about all of the work being undertaken between Bicester and Bletchley - and includes some recent video of key locations taken by a drone-based camera.

Locally, there is just one local road closure at present - Furze Lane at railway bridge from 28 March until 9 September for major repair and refurbishment works to meet current standards.

Work to build the new station in Winslow is well under-way. And track installation to the east of the new station is scheduled to take place between May and August. The replacement footbridge near the Furze Lane burial ground has now been installed and will open in the near future. Until that happens, the Furze Lane road bridge can still be used by pedestrians and cyclists.
